Our Cafe Campaign
We’re building something special in downtown Duluth—more than a cafe, it’s a space that reflects who we are and what we love. A place to gather and build community, enjoy something delicious, host art shows and live music, kick off group runs, and just be yourself. Now comes the hard part.
After finding the perfect spot in the historic Board of Trade Building, we lined up financing and signed a lease. Then, much to our surprise and dismay, the funding fell through in the final hour. Now we’re turning to the community that inspired this dream. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to help bring the cafe to life. If you’re into coffee, connection, or just rooting for the underdog, we’d be honored to have your support.

About
OUR STORY
Underwood Coffee is the culmination of years of experience working various roles in the specialty coffee industry. From begging for a barista position, working as Director of Education & Training, all the way to becoming the head roaster for an award winning coffee roasting company out of Minneapolis. As the owner and founder, I have always gone against the grain, working tirelessly in the pursuit of creating my ideal coffee company. Dreaming of one that I felt proud to share, and knowing that the only place I would want to start such an endeavor would be my hometown of Duluth, MN.
I love this community and the people it holds. We look forward to sharing the world of specialty coffee with you all, and sharing a piece of Duluth with the world.

OUR MISSION
We only source responsibly grown coffees from producers and importers we trust and respect. We then roast them with intention and care; showcasing them in a way that is approachable and inviting.
WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
Basement punk shows, 90’s Hip-Hop, cheap beer, BBQ, skateboarding, old pick-up trucks and hard work. We let our freak flag fly and wear our underdog/DIY ethos on our sleeves. We like to use coffee as a way to express ourselves, and create new and meaningful relationships with our community and beyond.
